2015 Trend Review

THE BOLD JACKET: Dinner jackets made a big splash this year with interesting patterns, textures, and contrasting lapel trims. THE BLUE TUX: 2015 was all about blue! While in year's past we saw the midnight blue tuxedo with black lapel come into popularity, in 2015 things got a little brighter and bolder like the one below! Photo credit: Inije Photography

TONAL GRAYS: A growing theme over the past few years have been to really distinguish groom from his attendants in an obvious way such as the tonal gray below.

THE VEST: Form & function all the way. For those laid back events, we saw a lot of requests for groomsmen to rock a vest rather than jacket.

Meet the Team

We have expanded our team here at The Modern Gent and we are excited introduce them for the new year! 

KATE - Owner / Stylist

Kate works with each of our clients to design and style the perfect look. Whether that's a closet overhaul for business suiting, or wedding styling for groom & his attendants, she is personally involved with each and every client and project.

MELISSA - Project Manager

Melissa is our behind-the-scenes wedding rockstar. She keeps all our groomsmen on track and works with each gentleman to facilitate measurement submission for tuxedo rentals keeping our wedding timelines flowing smoothly!

RENTAL PROGRAM TEAM

Brandi, Susan, and Tricia head our rental program production team. They work hard to oversee that every rental suit or tuxedo is perfectly cleaned, pressed, altered, and packaged ready to go for final fittings.

ALTERATIONS

Our team of 5 local master tailors help create and alter all of our garments. They work quickly and skillfully to ensure we have some of the fastest and most flexible tailor shops.

BESPOKE CRAFTSMEN

Our world class custom garments are created in our New York factory by master craftsmen. They work exclusively by hand to ensure each cloth is inspected, cut, draped, and precisely assembled with utmost skill.

Last year was a huge growth year for The Modern Gent and we're so grateful to all of our clients and vendor partners for making 2015 a year to remember!  Styling so many discerning grooms for their wedding day means that we have a new collection of imagery to show 2016 clients.  With that, we are thrilled to announce the launch of our brand new website!
